Anyone got anymore news about Meigs Field in Chicago closing? I would find this very sad  !

Why don't they develop it into a city airport like London City?

Kind Regards,
Jeremiah Teahan

No LOT 767-300ER, I am sorry! Anyone who know alot about aviation does not know CGX is Meigs !!!!!!
Maybe a Chicago based aviation enthusiast does but not a European, Asian or Australian based one !!!

It would have made much more sense to say Meigs and not CGX.

Whats Cgx ? Is it Meigs?

GKirk: Yes, CGX is Meigs Field.

I personally think Meigs should be expanded into a commercial airport to help with the traffic problem at ORD and MDW, instead of building a new Chicago airport.

My guess is that many people knew it after that!

No my point is that many people only got your post after reading that!

Can we just leave it there and declare peace. I was only trying to prove my point. The rules clearly state that you must post a descriptive topic. Think about that in future to make all of us, no matter where we live understand!

Yeah, I had no idea CGX=Meigs till I read that post. but lets not all get het up about it, its New Year's day after all, peace and happiness to all!

Anyway, on topic, I'd be sad to see it close, it was where I made my first take off from (using FS v.4.0. Also my first inverted flight, my first supersonic (unintentially) flight, my first of many crashes. No landings though...   )

Well I think I started a new fashion (I think it was me, not sure) and everyone was doing it. When everyone is doing it, there is not much point! With slightly longer loading times, Johan decided to ban it  !
