Where can i get cheap airline tickets. I want to go from LAX to anywhere in Europer, prefer LHR (Los Angeles to London). I am 17 and have a limited budget. I would really like corporate sponsors, but this may be unreal.

Try Council Travel, at http://www.counciltravel.com. They offer student airfares for cheap on major airlines like Continental, and all you have to do is pay $20 for an ISIC (Int'l Student Identity Card), available from your local Council Travel office. Since you're in LA, getting one of these shouldn't be a problem, as I'm sure they must have an office out there, if not several. They're usually near the universities, such as Georgetown here in DC.
The fares they're offering right now are $463 R/T on Continental, $480 on USAirways, $499 on British, $505 on Delta, and $511 on Virgin, among others.
If you're planning on travelling two or more times a year, I'd recommend that you join up with Bestfares.com travel club. It costs about $60 to join, but the savings pay that off in the long run. Currently, they are offering a roundtrip from LA or Orange County to London (no airline specified) for $358 R/T. Otherwise, you can always take a gamble on Priceline.com, which allows you to enter a bid on airline tickets using a credit card (if you have one). The thing is, Priceline does not allow you to select your itinerary or your departure times, while Bestfares and other travel clubs do. However, you can save a lot of money using priceline, and if you have a Student Advantage card, you can save $25 off a winning bid. Find them at http://www.priceline.com.

STA Travel specializes on student travel.
1. Check the sunday Travel section of Los Angeles Times for consolidator fares etc.
2. Go to TWA website, see where in Europe they fly, then go to and see what they are offering.

Expedia.com and Travelocity.com are good, but you won't find any amazing deals on there. Very good for getting reat schedules and flying carriers you like.
Lowestfare.com is the Karabu site and for the most part is commensurate with both mentioned above. However, because of its special arrangement with TWA, on flights served by TWA and sold by Karabu, you will find a significantly lower price than anywhere else.
Ticketplanet.com is a good site for long distance trips like the one you mentioed. In fact I've found some great fares. Only thing is however, that it will bring up a list of great fares irrespective of availability. When you get the fare list you will have to go into each one offered to see if their is, in fact, seats available.
Theres a company, I can't remember their name that has been tapped to supply the software for the Orbitz travel site. Its like ITS software or some set of letters. If anyone knows it, give a hollar. They have a good seach engine also.
Hotwire and Savvio are two Priceline lookalikes that don't require you to commit. Than of course, old Priceline does.
