Need Ideas For UAs Around The World Promotion

I have been collecting points all year long for the United Around-the-World promotion and I'm very close to collecting the 24 points needed for the ultimate prize. I'm thinking of doing this trip in the Fall of 2005 and am looking for ideas for city combinations I can use to maximize my benefit.

Taking into account the addition of SA by that time, what would you folks recommend be the best itinerary for a trip like this? Remember, it has to be all Star Alliance

South African will not join until at least the second half of 2005 and you will not be able to book them until they join. Make sure you get the ticket issued before the last ticketing date.

True True.. now assume that I travel in 2006.. any ideas for city itineraries? I need to decide whether to do a single around the world, or take my girlfriend along to someplace like China or Australia. Believe it or not, she doesn't want to do a round-the-world and is totally cool with me going alone on such a voyage.

Where do you want to go ? Are you using miles ? The promotion you mentioned, you probably have to complete travel before 2006. More info please.
